Intercontinental (Radisson Blu) Hotel Extension

Located in the heart of the city, the Intercontinental (formerly Radisson Blu) hotel has cemented its status as a five-star luxury establishment. The expansion project builds on the hotel's existing design and functionality, providing 132 additional beds to its previous capacity of 312 beds.

The six-floor extension blends seamlessly with the existing building, preserving its architectural integrity. There are 9 hotel rooms on each of the new floors. In addition, a luxurious presidential suite was designed, located on the top floor.

Functionality is at the core of this design. Two new elevators have been added to ensure hassle-free access and comfort, with one serving the newly added service rooms on each floor and the other reserved for hotel guests. The existing stairs are extended to the roof and serve as an evacuation exit. The new floors are connected by an additional stircase.

The extension is made of a strong steel structure, complemented by a flat metal roof. The external and internal walls, as well as the suspended ceilings, are executed according to the reliable KNAUF system, in compliance with strict requirements for fire protection and sound insulation.
