N. I. Pirogoff Multi-profile Active Treatment & Emergency University Hospital - Distinction for contribution to the development and establishment of the hospital

N. I. Pirogoff Multi-profile Active Treatment & Emergency University Hospital: I, II, III and IV Traumatology

This project includes a complete and transformative renovation of the I, II, III and IV traumatology clinics, located on the VIII, IX, X and XI floors of the N. I. Pirogoff Hospital in Sofia. The structure of the building retains its integrity during the renovation.

The main goal is to improve the atmosphere of the hospital rooms, including private bathrooms in each and streamlining service units, doctor's offices and interconnected walkways for seamless functionality.

The layout of the hospital rooms has been redesigned, offering two configurations: cozy single rooms with an extra bed and spacious double rooms. The two VIP rooms are luxuriously furnished with a single bed, a companion bed and separate places for personal belongings, a refrigerator and a TV. Between the VIP rooms there is a quiet corner for relaxation, surrounded by an elegant glass partition.

The renovation also includes state-of-the-art electrical and lighting systems, a rapid response medical aid system and a modern ventilation system for bathrooms and sanitary facilities. Each room is equipped with air conditioning for optimal comfort. Staff kitchens and doctors' and nurses' offices are optimized for functionality.

Waterproof materials are used for the floors and walls, which facilitate complete cleaning and disinfection. An elegant suspended ceiling has been installed throughout the area to accommodate the new installations.

The reconstruction resulted in minimal modifications to the facade elements of the building such as the addition of elegant solar visors adorning the southeast and northeast facades and modernized terrace railings meeting the highest safety criteria.
